Kids Martial Arts

Early childhood is a critical stage of development that forms the foundation for children’s future well-being and learning. kids martial arts classes are a great way for children to train with other children of similar ages in a safe controlled environment. All our coaches are fully insured and have completed their police checks, (DBS) Disclosure and Barring Service.

Chum Sut’s martial arts classes focus on teaching children self defence techniques, the essence of all martial arts. Classes are fun and energetic. Your child will learn how to defend, grapple, wrestle, strike and take down an opponent. Kids MMA Classes are for age groups 7 – 13 years.

Improved Co-Ordination

The movements incorporated into martial arts help children develop their motor skills, balance and co ordination. This greatly reduces the risk of injury as they increase muscle strength and become more aware of how their body moves.

Many kids struggle with the pressure of having to compete with other kids in team sports. Traditionally sports like football and rugby, may not appeal to them. Martial arts for children focuses on self-improvement, development as an individual.

Participating in activity that increases muscle strength, flexibility, co-ordination and balance, helps to create body awareness. Your child can feel awkward and clumsy at times in their early development due to changes in their body’s. Having a sport or activity like martial arts assists in the transition from child to adult.

Good friends provide us with vital social and emotional support from childhood through adulthood. It takes practice to learn how to be a good friend, practice at being kind, supportive, trustworthy and a good listener. These are skills kids can begin to learn at an early age.
